What can you use the app for?

Listango is a bookmarking application that gives users more ways to access their saved pages. The application allows the user to access their content from any computer, tablet or mobile device with an internet connection. The application works with all current web browsers so it can be used across all platforms. The user can add their bookmarks and manage privacy settings which include public or private. Bookmarks can also be shared with others through popular social networks like Twitter and Facebook or by email. The user creates a custom list with their own heading so they can easily organize bookmarks. Each is displayed as a text header with the URL appearing below, the related file and when the item was saved.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Listango hasn’t been widely recognized on the internet, but that could be because its services are something that are easy to come by. There are many bookmarking tools available to internet users and some may be reluctant to switch. Listango has a lot to offer, but it may have a tough time convincing people who use a browser like Chrome which also makes bookmarks available across devices.

What are the differences to other apps?

Listango offers many of the same features that other web-based bookmarking tools offer. The main difference is seen in the layout. The service focuses on producing lists of bookmarks. This is an easy format to master, which is a good thing, but it isn’t really remarkable or cutting edge. A list is, after all, just another type of folder. The application offers a browser button as well, which isn’t new but it is handy.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Listango keeps things nice and simple. Users can easily adapt to the interface which is spacious with no annoying clutter. There are a few advertisements here and there, but they are generally kept out of the way. Lists and their corresponding bookmarks are presented in columns so it’s easy to browse at a glance. The layout is simple, but it works. Novice users should have no trouble figuring out how to save and access their bookmarks.

How does the registration process work?

New users can click the green “Get Started, It’s Free” button found along the left side of the Listango homepage to begin. Clicking the button takes the user to another page which displays a short registration form. The form asks for a username, email address and password. Users can also click the blue button to the left to register with an existing Facebook account. The user is automatically logged in after submitting the form.

What does it cost to use the application?

Listango is available to all users at no cost. There are no subscription fees and no premium features are offered at this time. This is a good thing because the service is very basic. Charging a fee would only discourage most users from giving it a try. More features would have to be added if a subscription was ever going to be offered.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Listango is a helpful bookmarking tool for users who want more accessibility and less hassle with their bookmarks. The service allows users to access their saved items from any internet enabled device. The interface is relatively clean and registration is about as painless as it gets. Listango isn’t remarkable, but it serves its purpose well and offers a convenient interface with no unnecessary extras.

  • Save bookmarks in one convenient location
  • Access bookmarks from any internet enabled device
